Hello! I am Mrs. Cervantes :)
This is my seventh year teaching 4th grade at our school! Prior to teaching I worked as a teacher's aide for 2 years. That will make this my 9th amazing year at our school!! Teaching is quite a rewarding experience that brings me much joy.
I love letting my students THINK, PROBLEM SOLVE, THINK CRITICALLY, and ASK QUESTIONS. I am also a fan of technology in the classroom. We use our SMART Board daily, frequent the computer lab, and will have access to school approved e-mail accounts!
When I am not teaching you can find me at the park, the bookstore, swimming, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends. My all time favorite hobbies are photography and bowling!
My family includes my loving husband, (who is an elementary PE teacher!), my two sweet daughters who are 3 and 1 year old, my wonderful Mom, and my crazy cat Ryu.
I look forward to a rewarding year full of adventures and life-long learning with all of my students!
